General Information



The Juneau Hostel is open to all ages and provides year-round accommodations in separate dormitories for men and women.  We offer a family room, a comfortable common room with fire place, cooking facilities, laundry, lockers, bike rack, storage and free internet service.   The Juneau Hostel is also ADA compliant.

The hostel is located in downtown Juneau at the corner of 6th street and Harris street, near the Capitol building, Historic Downtown, the Juneau waterfront, and several popular hiking trails.  Come stay with us in a historic Juneau home adapted for use as a comfortable hostel!

Hostel Manager Position

The Juneau Hostel is looking for a single/couple to volunteer as a live in house parent(s) beginning immediately. No pets, no smoking. Download an application below, and email it to or drop off an application at 614 Harris St after 5:00pm. Call or email us if you have any questions!


5pm-11pm(10:30pm Sept-May)
9am-5pm (No guests are allowed during these hours)

Hostel COVID Policy

Only individuals who have been fully vaccinated will be permitted to enter the hostel.   Proof of vaccination will be required during check in.   


Under our Covid-19 protocols we are limiting capacity to 75% of authorized occupancy (36 guests per night).  Our capacity limitation will be reviewed every two weeks.   Thank you for understanding of our desire to protect our guests.


Hostel Closures

Dec. 18,2021 - Jan. 3, 2022

Effective for Reservations made on or after August 1, 2021

Adults (18+) - $30.00 + One Chore

Youth (6-17) - $15.00 + One Chore

Children (5 and under) - Free

Summer group rates are $30.00 per person, including youth.

Children and Youth must be traveling with a parent/guardian age 18 years or older.
