General Information:

The Juneau International Hostel is located in downtown Juneau at 6th and Harris Streets. It is nine miles from the airport and twelve miles from the ferry terminal. It is six blocks from the waterfront, four blocks from the Capitol Building, and near the beginning of several popular Juneau hiking trails. The building is a historic home that has been adapted for use as a hostel.

The Juneau Hostel, which is open to all ages, provides year-round accommodations in separate dormitories for men and women, a family room, a comfortable common room with fire place, cooking facilities, laundry, lockers, bike rack, storage and free internet service. Handicap accessible.

 February 12, 2017 - February 18, 2017 open again at 5 p.m.

 April 2, 2017 - April 8, 2017 open again at 5 p.m.

 April 16, 2017 - April 22, 2017 open again at 5 p.m.




Adults (18+) - $12.00 + One Chore

Youth (6-17) - $5.00 + One Chore

Children (5 and under) - Free

Summer group rates are $12.00 per person, including youth.

Children and Youth must be traveling with a parent/guardian age 18 years or older.





            • Cash only when checking in at the hostel.
            • Reservations are recommended for the family room which is available only for families with children and is handicap accessible.
            • For groups of 8 or more reservations are recommended throughout the year.
            • Reservations are accepted if accompanied by a deposit of the first night's fee and by indicating the dates you want to stay along with the number of males and females. Credit Cards (Visa, MC, AMEX, Discover) are accepted only for making reservations, not at the door. There is a $3.00 reservation fee and reservations are non-refundable.
            • There is a maximum stay of five (5) days - to allow other visitors to stay. See our FAQ page for more information on length of stay limitations.
          • Summer: (May 10th - September 10th) 8:00am-9:00am and 5:00pm-11:00pm

            Winter: (September 11th - May 9th) 8:00-9:00am and 5:00pm-10:30pm

            The Hostel is closed from 9am-5pm year round.

            After the curfew of 10:30pm/11:00pm has been reached you may leave the Hostel at any time you wish, but the door will be locked and re-entry will not be possible. This is done for the safety & consideration of other hostelers staying for the night.
